Flu season is still going strong & we’re seeing 10-15 cases of flu every day in our Pediatric clinic in Georgetown, Texas. Flu vaccine seems to have a better effect this year compared to last year, w/ most circulating Flu viruses so far being Flu A, and these are related to the viruses in this season’s vaccine. Of circulating Flu B viruses, around one-third are related to the B strain in this season’s vaccine. At this time, it’s not possible to predict which viruses will predominate during the rest of the season, as every influenza season is different. So, those who chose to get vaccinated this year, heave a big sigh of relief!!!
